Fatima and Her Pigeon at The Flea
The Amoralists 'Wright Club

I'm delighted to be joining the Amoralists as a Co-Director of this season's 'Wright Club.  Three playwrights will tackle the theme of gun violence in America with three individual plays and a fourth play that they create as a group.

As a Resident Director at the Flea, I am currently developing a serialized children's piece with playwright Noelle Ghoussaini about a young girl's journey out of Syria, her relationship with her beloved pigeon, and her transformation into a storyteller.  Episodes 1 and 2 premiered in the fall, and episodes 3 and 4 will be coming up in April and May.

I am continuing to serve as dramaturg on Noor Theatre's first full length play commission, Dead Are My People by Ismail Khalidi.  We presented the piece in workshop form at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan this past December and are continuing to develop it.  Stay tuned!

Noor's fourth annual 48 Hour Forum is May 21st-23rd!  We're thrilled to be teaming up with the Lark for the second time to present this headline-inspired festival. Five playwrights, five directors, and twenty actors will gather to create five short plays in just 48-hours based on the news of the day.
