ABOUT KATE
My goal as a director, producer, and dramaturg is to create theatre that contributes more questions than answers, prompts audiences to examine social and political issues from all sides, fosters discussion within communities, promotes empathy, and creates ripples of thought and action that extend beyond a performance itself.
I am the Associate Producer at Long Wharf Theatre, Artistic Producer of Noor Theatre, and a steering committee member for MENATMA (Middle Eastern and North African Theater Makers Alliance). I have directed and/or developed new work with The Civilians’ R&D Group, New York Theatre Workshop, The Flea, The Amoralists, The Shakespeare Society, The PIT, Theatre 4the People, Rising Sun Performance Company, The Secret Theatre, Directors’ Gathering Jam, The Fresh Fruit Festival, and more. I have worked, trained, and/or assistant directed with Ibex Theatricals/The New Vic, McCarter Theatre, Second Stage, Clubbed Thumb, CRY HAVOC, Yale Institute for Music Theatre, Théâtre du Châtelet, and The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway.
I graduated Cum Laude from Yale University with distinction in Theatre Studies and Psychology.
